My 1.5 tonne AC was working well, until it started to degrade in performance, and stopped cooling. It was still making the sound, so I realized that it wasn't dead. My dryer started having problems just after its warranty period ended. I live in Panaroma City... and I was confused about what to do with it. Someone referred me to Active Appliance, and I called them to come in. The guys did a fantastic job, and my dryer is now up and running. 05/04/10

My washer was making a lot of noise recently, and I contacted Active Appliances. They inspected my washer and said that my washer had no problem, and the noise was from the motor which needed lubrication. They Lubricated the motor, and my washer was running smooth again. They could have charged a lot more by saying that a part was broken, which I would have bought, since I don't have any knowledge of appliances what-so-ever. But they charged for the lubrication only. I was very pleased with the service and sincerity. 05/02/10

As a result of their lazy serviceperson not replacing a water line and just cutting and splicing it together, my cork floor was ruined by water damage. Carlos the Manager is worthless, passive aggressive and will come up with more reasons why they are not responsible for the damage they did. 04/21/10

I had a party last week at my house and my oven wasn\'t working. So I called Active Appliances and the service man showed up really quick. He checked the oven and immediately found the problem. He then cleaned the burner very carefully and the oven was working at its 100% again! It was a life-saver. So I rate them 5 out of 5 for their superb service. :) 01/02/10

I found this company on Google search, and by reading some of the positive reviews, I have decided to call them for some of broken kitchen appliances. They provided me with a great service. In fact. they fixed an oven that I thought to get rid off. All it was... a broken wire that was replaced immediately. Very happy!‎

After reading some good reviews here, I have decided to call Active Appliances, and see if they were as good as my previous company, who are out of business. I am glad I did. They were very professional and patient explaining, that I needed an expensive part. I am out of the warranty so I had no choice but, to have it fixed. After the job was completed they took in consideration the economy and took off 10% of the bill My re-fridge is working like new now. Highly recommend this company.‎

I really liked the service, replacing the warranty parts in my kitchen appliances plus taking care of my old washing machine. They suggested to buy a new one, that would save energy and do a better job. Active even gave me a suggestion which to buy and a place where I could get a discount. Thanks, Active! Just a little suggestion... next time if I need a service don't be 1,5 hours late.‎

I started having some problems with my kitchen appliances and after my refrigerator stopped working, I called Active Appliances. I was skeptical, because I had a bad experience with another service company before, who's name I will not mention in my review. These people were great, they fixed the problem in 20 minutes. I did not even have to leave my work, it was done during my lunch brake. Now, I will call them to take care of the rest of my appliances.‎

Active Appliances repaired my AC for $120 after an estimate that I received from another company, who claimed that I need a new AC unit, $6000, which was only 8 years old. They said that my unit can last another 10 years. Active saved me $5880! Very honest and knowledgeable.‎

I called them my AC unit. The operator was friendly. The repair man arrived on time and fixed the problem very quickly. I was very impressed with the service I received. I highly recommend them.

(WISH I COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM ZERO STARS!) I bought an LG fridge from Fry's and purchased the warranty. When I needed a repair, Fry's sent Active Appliance (I had no choice). It was a simple matter of fixing the temp control on the freezer side but it took them 3 visits to tell me that they were unable to repair it (and to install the same part 3 times) and I should contact the manufacturer for replacement. I did, and per LG's policy had to have a technician come out 3 more times to confirm that there was no way to fix the problem (we are at a total of six visits now, all very inconveniently on weekdays). LG decided to give us a new fridge. For some reason, when they went through Fry's to clear it, someone at either Fry's or Active Appliance determined they needed to send a technician out AGAIN to confirm that the fridge really and TRULY was un-repairable. I had some problems with my washer, it was stopping in the middle of a cycle. I called Active Appliances, and a technician was at my house in 2 hours. I could not believe. He was very honest and told me I don't need any repairs, all I need is the balance adjustments. He placed some block under the washer and it was fixed. I was very pleased, with their honesty and service. Great Job!

I have had them come out for my washer and dryer on two separate occasions over 4 years. I have bosch appliances with a maytag warranty. Both times they sent the same guy, who is great. When I called to confirm appointment, they answered after a few minutes on hold. Guy was about a half hour late, but he called to let me know. I am really happy.

The Russian service technician came in with an attitude right away. He was rude and asked who tore off my control panel from my oven. I told him nobody, that it had just come loose and fallen off. He wrote up the report as somebody tore off the panel and it would not be covered by insurance. Active Appliance was the last company to service this unit, and any problems were caused by them! I will cancel my contract with the insurance company because they use companies like this! What a rip off!

until they refunded some money before writing how horrible they were. From the get go, navigating through the automated voice system is annoying - getting put on hold endlessly and the fact that it took the same incompetent, although at least friendly, technician 3 times over 8 weeks to decide he couldn't figure out what the problem was. I had left a message for the service manager - only to call 2 days later and be told the service manager doesn't talk to customers. Ok. More...

So I decided to get it fixed and I found these guys online (google search) but didn't bother to check the reviews. They did the job they were supposed to I guess... But it took a LONG TIME (almost two weeks) just to install a new control panel And it was really hard getting over their accents. It's been a good month now, and everything is working fine... They were not rude to me, I could tell that they tried their best.

About 2 years ago, the dam thing started to give me an error code, I called the store and they referred me to Active. I was able to get an appointment next day, this Leo guy came out he was pretty friendly, told me i need a part. Had to wait for a part . Now its 3 days later he is all done, $178 later its working so far. I am happy.

was very different from most of the reviews I see here. About 6 month after I got myself all new Kitchen Aid Appliances, my Ice Maker in the fridge stopped working. So I called the store and got referred to this Active place. I always check reviews, so I was extremely skeptical and decided not to call but to stop by this place to schedule an appointment. Got there, not much to look at outside but when I went in I was very IMPRESSED. Clean, neat glass cubicles, large displays to monitor calls, overall great environment. I was nicely greeted and was set up for the next day. That same day around 6:30 I get a call from an annoying electronic voice confirming that appointment, it was 8 to 11 and the guy showed up around 9:15. He took a look at it and no more then 15 min. later tells me I need a part and will get a call back once it is in. I was given the option to follow up on my job on their website. More...
